OK… I am not trying to be all insensitive. I know that loneliness is a difficult thing and many people suffer from it. Man, being what we are, creates all sorts of things to try and rid ourselves from this condition. We have technologies that, though I can’t honestly validate for myself, alleviate loneliness.
But this… This is just plain creepy. From the video that markets it all the way to whatever the hell it is. I mean, I can’t imagine myself being in such an incredible state of loneliness that I would caress and hug it the way this guy is in this video. But I have the same feelings for The Real Dolls (NSFW) as well.
Put it this way… whatever floats your boat. But honestly, I can’t see this curing much of anything. I would kind of feel like an idiot laying around hugging it. I mean, it’s fake and I would know it. It isn’t capable of giving back affection to me, therefore it’s just artificial and would just make me feel… well… more lonely I suspect.
